Homeowner seeking master gardener to design and oversee construction of a backyard garden on approximately 0.5 acres which will allow me to eat vegetables from the garden and mostly sustain myself for the year. growing season scheduled for spring 2027 but the garden construction can start sooner.
Ideal candidate has worked on small organic farms around the Boston metro area and has experience growing vegetables and other edible plants in this climate. The candidate also has experience planning how to set up a garden and how to plant and harvest at the right times to ensure food is available throughout the season.
I need someone to give me detailed instructions on what needs to be done to build the garden, what materials need to be purchased, how to install necessary equipment, how and when to plant, how to pull weeds, pest management, and any other items needed for the success of the project. Preferrably the person would be available to come to the property at least once a day to check in and be available by phone to answer questions throughout the day.
