A Lime Scooter Battery Replacement (Battery Swap) Associate or Fleet Operations Specialist is responsible for keeping Lime scooters available for riders by replacing depleted batteries with fully charged ones in the field instead of taking the scooter back to a warehouse. Lime also requires workers to follow strict safety procedures when handling lithium-ion batteries.
* Use the Lime operations app to locate scooters with low battery levels.
* Travel to scooters using approved transportation.
* Remove depleted batteries and install fully charged batteries.
* Return depleted batteries to the charging hub or warehouse.
* Track battery inventory and document completed swaps.
* Follow all battery handling and workplace safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to lift batteries and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Reliable transportation (Contractors are required to provide own means of transportation ).
* Valid driver’s license may be required.
* Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals.
Work Environment:
* Outdoor field work with frequent walking and driving.
* Early morning, evening, or overnight shifts are common.
* Fast-paced, independent work with daily performance goals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is comfortable with light mechanical tasks, and can efficiently service multiple scooters throughout a shift.
Expectations:
- Be able to do 60+ battery swaps daily
