Looking for an experienced handyman, contractor, or flooring professional to help improve the floor of a residential garage.
The garage currently has a dirt/soil floor that is uneven. We are renting the property, so we do not want to pour permanent concrete or make major permanent modifications.
We’re looking for someone who can:
* Level and compact the existing dirt/soil floor
* Create a stable, even surface suitable for parking a car
* Make the floor level enough for shelving, storage cabinets, and an office/workshop-style garage setup
* Install an attractive temporary/removable flooring solution
* Recommend materials that are durable but can be removed later when we move
* Ideally create a clean, finished garage look similar to a modern workshop/car garage
Possible solutions could include compacted base material with plywood/subfloor panels, heavy-duty garage tiles, rubber flooring, modular flooring, or another renter-friendly system.
The finished floor needs to be solid, level, clean-looking, and capable of supporting a vehicle and shelving without sinking or shifting.
