NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED CARPENTERS
Fremont & Palo Alto, CA
Pay: $43 per hour
Per Diem: $90 per day for qualified travelers
Experience: Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience
We are seeking skilled Carpenters for construction projects in Fremont and Palo Alto, California. Qualified candidates must have strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete quality work safely and efficiently.
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts to determine materials, dimensions, and installation requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape wood, metal studs, plywood, and other construction materials.
- Construct and install wood and metal stud framing, walls, partitions, headers, backing, and blocking.
- Install and repair doors, doorframes, hardware, trim, molding, and other finish carpentry components.
- Hang drywall and install sheathing, wall panels, and ceiling components as required.
- Build, assemble, install, and remove concrete forms and temporary structures.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry, including modifications, repairs, and punch-list work.
- Use levels, squares, lasers, and measuring tools to verify alignment, elevation, plumb, and square.
- Safely operate saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry hand and power tools.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, proper fit, and compliance with project specifications.
- Load, unload, organize, and move construction materials while maintaining clean work areas.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet project schedules.
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
- Proficiency in rough carpentry, framing, and finish work.
- Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Working knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to perform physical construction duties, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working at heights, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable transportation, consistent attendance, and a strong commitment to safety and workmanship.
