The Archives offers craft cocktails in a unique setting, and is now seeking a Barback/Bar Prep/Host to join our team in in providing friendly, professional service to our guests.
This is a multifaceted role, presenting the opportunity to develop service skills and learn advanced bar prep techniques such as craft ice production, carbonation, clarification, and use of equipment including centrifuges, vacuum filtration, ultrasonic infusers, and more.
The Barback position is responsible for assisting bartenders with busing, cleaning, ingredient preparation, and other elements of service as needed.
The Bar Prep position is responsible for production of ingredients used in cocktail preparation.
The Host position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, assisting with cleaning, and other elements of service as needed.
This is a part-time position with significant hands-on, front-line responsibility, working collaboratively within a small business. The position schedule includes evening and weekend hours and occasional holidays. Applicants with experience working in a bar / venue setting and with TIPS certification preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to function efficiently as part of a small team in a high volume setting are essential. The position reports to the Bar Manager.
