This tortoise was found in the area of Parthenia/Mason, in Chatsworth and turned in to West Valley shelter on October 1st.. The tortoise is currently there. and will be released to the Valley Chapter of California Turtle & Tortoise Club.
If you are missing a tortoise and you think this one could be yours, and if you go to the shelter, be able to identify the tortoise as yours. Photos are helpful for identification. Please respond to this post and a member of the Valley Chapter adoption team can assist you to recover your tortoise.
Be sure to check your yards as tortoises will try to find a cool place in the weather we're having right now. And there are a lot of them that have escaped their yards, and seeking shelter from the heat.
