Violinists and violists wanted — Arce Nova Strings Duo/Trio
I’m a professional musician based in Westfield, MA, looking to expand my roster of reliable violinists and violists for weddings and other paid engagements. I already work with several musicians, but frequently need substitutes when they’re unavailable. I play cello in these ensembles.
Players should have strong sight-reading skills, be comfortable with a wide range of repertoire, comfortable using IPad or print their own music from files that I send and be able to prepare for performances with minimal rehearsal.
We rehearse approximately every other week at Westfield School of Music in Westfield, MA. Possible times include weekday mornings after 11 a.m., Fridays, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays.
Pay per musician is $175 for a one-hour engagement and $250/275 for a two-hour engagement, including travel. There is a potential gig on November 28.
I’d love to arrange an informal playing session to meet and see how we work together. If interested, please share your experience, where you’re based, and your availability—including November 28.
