I have been renting the same unit in a West Allis duplex for over 25 years. Although the duplex changed ownership five times, every new landlord kept me on due to my dependability and integrity. I've never missed a rent payment. But after all this time, the duplex is overdue for renovations which the landlord will be starting next year, so I am looking for a new place to live. I would prefer to stay in the central West Allis area but would be open to finding the right place anywhere in the southern/western Milwaukee suburbs or surrounding SE Wisconsin area.
I have a good job, no debts, no court or criminal record, and my income is reliable, but I don't quite make enough to afford a typical market-rate apartment, so I'm looking for a studio or small 1BR unit in the $650-$700 range because I will also need to rent a storage unit. I own my own washer, gas dryer, microwave, and window air conditioner, but if you already have those items, then I'll just put mine in storage.
Requirements: I have one small, well-behaved, quiet, healthy, declawed adult cat that I inherited from a deceased family member. I am committed to taking care of that cat. I also have a Spectrum internet account, so your building would need to be connected to Spectrum.
