Manufacture located in Sunnyvale California, offers a part-time Machine Operator position on CNC Grinding Equipment as well as Manual Equipment. Previous grinding experience is a plus.
Individuals with previous CNC or manual milling and turning experience are encouraged to apply.
Position:
• Machine operator / Surface grinder
• Shift: Part-time days
• Working hours / Days: 12:00pm to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday
Responsibilities:
• Read blueprints and job traveler for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground, and tooling instructions, for grinding speeds, feed rates, fixtures and grinding wheel requirements.
• Perform set-ups in a timely manner.
• Verify dimensions of groundwork piece for conformance to specifications.
• Grind various types of metallic and non-metallic materials as required.
Requirements:
• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Complete tasks with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail with minimal supervision.
• Interpret blueprints and related specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Team player with excellent work ethics and attendance.
Compensation:
• Hourly rate is 25.00 to 35.00 based on experience.
