I’m a 63-year-old woman looking for an apartment for myself and Olive, my small/medium-sized, 7-year-old dog. I have applied for RAFT (the Rental Assistance Program in Massachusetts) as someone coming out of a traumatic situation. RAFT helps with the first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and the deposit. I can afford the rent and will continue to be able to afford it; I just needed help with the upfront costs.
