This position provides the delivery of custodian and maintenance services for Covenant Lutheran Church facility and grounds. The care and cleaning of the church facility and grounds and ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety throughout our premises.
Essential Functions:
● This position will perform general building maintenance, custodial duties and light housekeeping.
● Responsible for room setups including but not limited to special events, Funerals/ Memorial Services, Baptisms, Weddings and Holiday celebrations.
● Maintain lawn, mowing, trimming and weed spraying.
● Regular attendance at weekly office staff meeting

● Must have the ability to work collaboratively with Pastor, Staff, Property Team Chair, Congregation Members and Outside Suppliers on special projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Physical Demands:
● Ability to lift 50 lbs.
● Duties require frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, use of arms above shoulder level and bending of back
● Frequent exposure to cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and chemicals. Some may have strong odors.
● Duties may require work from a stepladder. Agility is required to climb stepladder and work with hands above head. Six-, eight-, ten- and fifteen-foot stepladders are most common sizes in use
● Carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills a plus.
