I have Windows 11 and hate Microsoft’s File Explorer with the white-hot passion of a thousand suns. Indeed, that goes for Microsoft in general too.
On the advice of an overconfident, enthusiastic relative, I downloaded “Everything” from Voidtools to bring order to my File Explorer file system, only to have inexplicably converted my file system from difficult to chaos. My relative can do no more than apologize. He’s a nice young man, but sometimes overconfident.
I need a software expert conversant with “Everything” (1) to turn my chaos into an orderly system so that I can bypass File Explorer altogether and (2) to instruct me in the proper use of “Everything.”
I’m 81 and on a fixed income, i.e., I’m retired on meager Social Security benefits. I’m intelligent, educated, experienced, and rational, but clearly overconfident when it comes to dealing with contemporary software. Can you help? Will you help?
Whatever it costs is NOT immaterial. I can certainly come to you. I have a recently refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad 73. Also, I’m still recovering from colostomy surgery.
No, I’m not in any more of a mess than is our nation already and I am just as determined to resolve my software mess as are, I hope, all 342 million fellow citizens to resolve our nation’s mess.
If this works out, I am certainly prepared to enter into a long-term hardware/software ad hoc maintenance arrangement.
How should we proceed? Please eMail me. I have follow-up medical appointments most of the day, so please understand if I don’t respond promptly to your eMail. Thanks & best wishes.
