For sale: a nearly complete set of Blue Microphones Bottle Caps, the interchangeable capsules for the Blue Bottle tube mic and the Bottle Rocket Stage One and Stage Two mics. This is a chance to own a set of legendary, world-class capsules that are no longer made and can no longer be bought new. Logitech retired the Blue brand in 2023 and the Bottle line was discontinued.
WHAT'S INCLUDED

- Original silver aluminum Blue Microphones flight case with blue velvet foam cutouts

PLEASE NOTE: The B6 capsule is NOT included. The B6 ships with the Bottle mic itself, so it stays with my Bottle. That is why the case has one open slot. The Bottle microphone is NOT included either. This sale is the capsules, case, and manual only.
THE CAPSULES (from Blue's own descriptions)
B0 - Large-diaphragm cardioid, single backplate. "The Ultimate Big Vocal Sound." Bright and airy with big lows. Lead and background vocals, voice-over, acoustic guitar, mandolin, percussion.
B1 - Small-diaphragm cardioid. "The Accuracy Plus Capsule." Detailed highs, lifelike transients. Acoustic guitar, piano, drum overheads, hi-hat, metal percussion, room miking, strings.
B2 - Large-diaphragm figure-8. "The Vintage Capsule." Big, warm, vintage-ribbon-style sound with soft highs. Crooner vocals, sax and brass, horn sections, acoustic bass, cello, bright or edgy sources.
B3 - Mid-size-diaphragm cardioid. "The Neutral Capsule." Blue's most accurate, transparent capsule. Female vocals, distant orchestral miking, acoustic and jazz guitar, double reeds, piano, organ.
B4 - Small-diaphragm pressure omni in a hand-built Perspex sphere. "The Big Omni." Sweet highs and unusually robust lows for an omni. Room and ambient drum sounds, classical and orchestral, bowed strings, distant miking.
B5 - Large-diaphragm pressure omni. "The Presence Omni." Bright, incisive, minimal proximity effect. Close-miked acoustic guitar, percussion, highly transient sources, anything that needs to cut through a dense mix.
B7 - Large-diaphragm cardioid, single backplate. "The Classic Vocal Sound." Warm 1950s tube-mic character, smooth highs, forward mids. Lead and background vocals, sax, flugelhorn, electric guitar, pedal steel, organ, jazz.
B8 - Large-diaphragm cardioid. "The Versatile Capsule." Blue calls it the best choice if you could only have one capsule. Vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, drums and overheads, percussion, piano, horns, strings.
That is figure-8, two kinds of omni, small/mid/large cardioids, and three distinct vocal flavors in one box. Basically a mic locker for a Bottle-style body.
CONDITION
Never used. Excellent/mint condition. Single owner. Owned by an enthusiast for personal home use only. Never used in a rented or commercial studio.

New price for the kit was $4,199.99. Asking $3,200 for this set, which is no longer available new at any price.
