My name is Chris and I tutor high school students and college students in the greater Boston area who are struggling with their math courses and need help with test prep, homework support, enrichment, or executive functioning. I've tutored math for the past 10 years at boutique tutoring companies here in Boston while teaching at the Art of Problem Solving (see bio link below!). I tutor pre-algebra, algebra I-II, geometry, pre-calc, calculus, statistics, discrete math, SAT, multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, real analysis, complex variables, abstract algebra, and many more. Math and engineering majors in need of a math coach are greatly welcomed.
My tutoring philosophy combines patient, enthusiasm and positive reinforcement. Your goals become my goals!
A little bit about my educational background: I hold a M.S. degree in Theoretical Mathematics from Tufts University and a M.S. degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University.
I've tutored high school students from Bedford, Lexington, Arlington, Melrose, Cambridge, Boston, and many other school districts in Massachusetts. I've also tutored college students from WPI, Tufts, BU, Northeastern, MIT, Suffolk, BC, Brandeis, Harvard, Wentworth, UMass, and many other wonderful Universities in and outside Boston.
My availability is flexible during the week, both afternoons and evenings, and the weekend. Have a scheduling question? Shoot me a line!
I am open to a trial session and a free consultation.
I look forward to working with you!
