Hi,
Looking for handyman/handyperson that is able to carry an A/C up several flights and safely place inside of a window this Sunday, 8/1/2026, as well as help install a rod to the ceiling.
Reinforce or replace a long curtain rod:
A long adjustable curtain rod spans much of the living room and is currently suspended from the ceiling with several loops of wire. The rod has begun to sag.
Rather than stapling wire directly into the ceiling again, I would like the new rod securely supported using properly installed screw eyes, ceiling hooks, or similar hardware, with wire or another suitable support attached to them. The installer should be comfortable:
Using a drill
Installing screw eyes or ceiling hooks securely
Cutting and forming galvanized utility wire, if wire is used again and
Leveling and supporting a long adjustable curtain rod
I plan to purchase the rod, the screw eyes and ceiling hooks.
Please let me know of any experience you have with this if any and/or strength to carry/install an A/C unit, as well as times you're available that day.
Both projects combined are likely to take only 45 min 1 hour total but that is only a rough estimate, may run longer or shorter based upon experience.
