We’re a precision CNC machine shop in Santa Clara, CA, focused on doing quality work and getting parts out on time. We’re currently looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and run our 3-axis machines for day-to-day production. This role is a great fit for someone who’s confident with 3-axis machining and wants to work in a shop that supports growth and long-term development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-Perform full setups and run 3-axis CNC milling machines independently.
-Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers to ensure parts meet specifications.
-Inspect in-process and finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
-Adjust tool wear offsets and machine compensation to maintain consistent part quality.
-Optimize speeds and feeds to improve surface finish, cycle time, and tool life.
-Manage multiple machines when cycle times allow.
-Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow shop safety standards.
-Operate forklifts and assist with material handling as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
-5+ years of hands-on experience setting up and running CNC milling machines, specifically 3-axis mills.
-Ability to work independently and make sound machining decisions without constant supervision.
-Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tolerances, and inspection practices.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Proficient in English for reading prints, documentation, and daily communication.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
-Installing hardware such as helicoils, dowel pins, and similar components.
-Experience with manual milling machines.
-Interest in or exposure to automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing processes.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Some Saturdays and overtime may be required depending on workload.
