Position: Security Guard
Location: San Luis Obispo
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.90/hour
Employment Type: Part-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate will be attentive, dependable, and capable of handling responsibilities with a calm and friendly demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations
Conduct routine patrols of the property
Control access points and verify identification as needed
Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies
Write clear and accurate incident reports
Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and clients
Enforce company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications:
Valid California Guard Card (required)
Previous security experience preferred but not required
Strong observation and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Friendly and approachable demeanor
Work Environment:
Indoor and/or outdoor post depending on assignment
Standing and walking for extended periods may be required
