For sale is a high-end custom-made workstation computer that was used on a research project that recently ended. The computer was built mainly for its computationally powerful AMD brand, Threadripper series, 3GHz, 16-core, 32-thread processor. It also comes with a high-end GPU video card, which is the EVGA brand, model number GeForce-RTX-2080-Ti.
Besides the AMD brand Threadripper CPU, it also has an ASRock brand motherboard, 48GB of Corsair brand RAM, a 500GB Crucial brand SSD for data storage, and a 860-watt PC Power and Cooling brand power supply unit. It has built-in wired, wireless, and bluetooth networking. It also has built-in audio capabilities and lots of USB ports.
Please note that when used in the above-mentioned research project, this workstation had a specialized version of Linux installed. But that operating system was removed when the computer was decommissioned at the end of the project.
In order to provide some sort of method to test the computer for this Craigslist sale, I installed the Windows 11 operating system. This operating system does not have any sort of activation code or digital license, as it's only installed for testing purposes. You'll have to provide your own Windows activation code. Otherwise, you can install Linux or another specialized operating system. I'll leave it to you to figure out what software system works for you.
The computer is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. There is nothing wrong with it. You can feel free to test the hardware before purchase to confirm that everything works.
This computer does NOT come with a monitor, keyboard, mouse, or other accessories. You'll only get the tower case and a single electrical cable.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
I prefer that you reach out via text message. Sending an initial email message is OK. But arranging pickup solely using email is not a feasible option for me. Eventually, you'll have to text me to arrange a specific pickup or delivery time. Thanks.
