According to Google AI, this is a customized Orbea Lobular 100 from 2004, "a rare, beautifully engineered piece of mid-2000s cycling history!" Orbea is Spain's largest bicycle manufacturer; they started making bicycles in the 1930s but the company goes all the way back to 1840. This was a top-of-the-line bicycle for its model year.
The "Lobular" model name comes from its unique, Orbea-engineered 'lobular' tubing (made from custom-shaped, triple-butted aluminum). Instead of using simple round pipes, they manipulated the aluminum into multi-lobed, rounded triangular profiles. This structural engineering increased side-to-side frame stiffness for efficient power transfer when pedaling, while still allowing the frame to flex vertically to absorb bumps.
The Frame & Fork: The custom pink lobular frame paired with the premium full-carbon Zeus Ziccs FCM fork was originally a top-tier frameset option.
The Drivetrain: The Shimano 105 derailleurs represent a classic, ultra-reliable workhorse build. It was very common for riders at the time to buy a premium frameset and build it up with a reliable 105 group to balance top-tier handling with practical component costs.
The Assembly: The "Gravy Wheels" chainstay badge means this custom framework was professionally built or hand-wheeled by legendary mechanic Steve Gravenites in Northern California. The "Gravy Wheels" marking on the chainstay is a unique custom touch. Steve "Gravy" Gravenites is a legendary mountain and road bike mechanic and wheelbuilder based in Northern California. He built high-end wheels for world-class racers and ran a famous shop named Gravy Wheels. This bike was originally built, sold, or custom-wheeled by a true legend of the California bike tuning scene!
The FCM stamp on the fork stands for the Zeus Ziccs FCM. This was Orbea’s top-tier, full-carbon-fiber fork during the mid-2000s. It was incredibly lightweight for its era (around 390 grams) and came stock on their pro-level bikes—including the iconic full-carbon Orca used by professional racing teams at the time.
Note the "AICCS" marking on the fork, and "AACCS" on the rear triangle. In the mid-2000s, Orbea used proprietary acronyms for their hybrid aluminum/carbon frame constructions and Zeus-branded components. AICCS - Aluminum Integrated Carbon Composite System - refers to the carbon fork built specifically to integrate cleanly with the frame's headtube. AACCS - Aluminum Alloy Carbon Composite System - denotes the hybrid construction of the frame—specifically where a hydroformed aluminum main triangle is bonded to a carbon fiber rear triangle (the seat stays and chain stays) to absorb road vibrations.
The bike does have a small cosmetic dent on the top tube. But with its sharp hot pink color scheme, no one will notice!

DONATE YOUR OLD BIKE SO IT CAN HELP PEOPLE!
Did you know that your old unused bike could do a lot of good in our community?
Community Cycles of California will gratefully accept your generous bicycle donation - we will "re-cycle" it and give it a higher purpose than sitting in your garage gathering dust!
All donated bikes will be refurbished and re-homed - some will be sold (like the one in this listing!); some given away. All will benefit our vocational trainees, and all will be appreciated!
Because our bikes will be re-owned and re-loved, we can only accept bikes that can be refurbished (no bent or rusted frames, or "big-box store" bikes that are made with cheap, unrepairable components, or "Burning Man" bikes that have been trashed). For more info on how and what to donate, please see https://www.communitycyclesca.org/donate-your-bike
