We currently have an opening for a full-time Laser Operator for AMADA ENSIS 3015 with at least 3 years of experience.
SUMMARY: Sets up and operates equipment that automatically performs Laser and punch operations for sheet metal parts
DUTIES INCLUDES:
• Studies setup instructions to determine dimensional and material specifications for setup requirements.
• Installs program to the Laser control unit according to work order or programmed instructions
• Verify that the material meets all print requirements, type of material, and type of finish, material thickness and blank size per program load sheet. Thoroughly inspect the material for any damage that may affect the Laser operation
• Monitor machine operations and display panel of control unit for indications of malfunctions. Notifies supervisor if parts do not conform to specifications or malfunctions. Responsible for machine and tool maintenance (PM) according to manufactures recommendations.
• Make manual adjustments on the Laser such as aligning material on the machine table, changing the nozzle, cleaning lens, selecting appropriate cutting gas; i.e. identify and correct problems caused by material, program or machine status.
The Candidate must have the ability to communicate with management, read and write English, interpret blueprints and customers’ requirements; and interpret variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and schedule forms. Must also have the ability to work with basic program and mathematical concepts.
While performing the duties of this job: the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and lift material to load and unload material up to 50 pounds and computer/controller entry. Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, and the ability to adjust focus quickly.
