A beautiful convertible classic!
My group of EV enthusiast have converted a Jaguar XJS V12 (year 1989) Convertible to an electric. It was a major project that we removed a massive V12 engine and install a 100 KW electric motor, 36 kWh Lithium Battery and an inverter. The car ran great.
At present, the inverter was out of order and need to be replaced to have it run again. You can purchase a used Tesla model 3 or Model S, DC-AC inverter on e-bay for about $1200.
This is the journey of taking a 1989 Jaguar XJS and transforming it from a V12 gas thirsty mechanical beast to a classic e-Jaguar 1989.
Jaguar XJS was a symbol of Luxury and Performance. XJS V12 combines timeless elegance. Its sleek, aerodynamic design and become an electric sport car by a group of EV enthusiasts.
