My Green Lunch is a healthy school lunch catering company looking for passionate people to join our already great team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join the My Green Lunch team as a driver. Our drivers are the face of the company, are expected to dress in a clean and professional manner and must be able to perform all duties in a satisfactory manner each day. The drivers will load and transport lunches to school sites, where they will unload lunches, may interact with staff, parents and students while representing the company in a professional manner. When returning to the kitchen facility unloading your vehicle, sanitizing equipment, and helping with any warehouse or other tasks that may be needed.
The Essential requirements, skills and knowledge required of this position are:
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be 25 years or older and Clean Driving Record
• Must be able to lift 65 pounds - job requires lifting and bending
• Ability to work well with peers, customers, and the community in a professional manner
• Work well under pressure and remain calm, even in stressful situations
• Strong understanding of customer service and the importance of meeting customers/school’s needs
• Knowledge of work safety rules, including equipment use, proper lifting techniques and safe driving skills, all in order to keep a safe work environment for themselves and the My Green Lunch team
• Solid attention to detail and ability to follow precise directions, Including Time management skills
• Work in all types of weather environments, including being exposed to cold temperatures in the walk-in freezer.
• Positive attitude and teamwork mentality is important in our work environment
• An Awareness of Food Handling Safety Practices, assuring hot food and cold food stay in compliance, training will be provided
• Other duties as assigned
This is a Monday-Friday Job
Hours 6:30am - 12:00PM
Approximately 25 -30 hours a week
$500 performance hiring bonus after first successful 90 days
