This is the original-generation S5: Cervélo's flagship aerodynamic road-racing platform, combining an aggressive aero frame design with traditional rim brakes and mechanical or electronic drivetrain compatibility.

ORIGINAL-GENERATION CERVÉLO S5
The S5 was Cervélo's dedicated aerodynamic road-racing platform, incorporating features such as the dropped downtube, aerodynamic tube shaping, shielding seat stays, extended rear-wheel cutout and Cervélo's asymmetric BBright bottom-bracket system.
This frameset is from the rim-brake / quick-release generation of the S5.
DRIVETRAIN COMPATIBILITY
This frameset can be built with appropriate components from the mechanical or electronic drivetrain systems of its generation.
Please verify compatibility of your intended groupset, bottom bracket, brakes, wheels and cable/electronic routing before purchasing.
This listing is for the frameset components specified above. Groupset, crankset, brakes and wheels are NOT included.
BOTTOM BRACKET — IMPORTANT
This frame uses Cervélo's BBright bottom-bracket standard.
BBright is not the same as a conventional threaded BSA bottom bracket.
The appropriate bottom bracket must be selected for both the BBright frame shell and the crank spindle you intend to use.
Please verify bottom-bracket compatibility before purchasing components for the build.
RIM BRAKE / QUICK RELEASE
This is a traditional rim-brake S5.
It requires compatible road rim-brake calipers and traditional quick-release road wheels.
It is NOT a disc-brake or thru-axle frameset.
PROPRIETARY CERVÉLO AERO SEATPOST
Included is the matching Cervélo carbon aero setback seatpost designed for this generation of S5.
The S5 uses a proprietary aerodynamic seatpost profile rather than a conventional round 27.2 or 31.6 mm post.
CONDITION
Overall condition: Approximately 9/10 for its age.
The frameset presents very well overall but does have cosmetic marks, paint wear/chips and other signs of normal use and component installation. Several of these areas are specifically photographed so buyers can evaluate the condition themselves.
Please review ALL photographs carefully, particularly the close-up photographs, as they form an important part of the condition description.
No attempt has been made to conceal the cosmetic imperfections.
