Hello!
My name is Iliana, I’m 5’7, and 22 years old. I have been a caregiver since I was 12. It all started at my uncles house, my uncle has 2 homes with patients that have Down syndrome which is the reason that inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. At 17, I got my CNA and Home Health Aid and continued to build my experience as a caregiver. I also had the opportunity to become a Medication Technician in a memory care facility with more than 40 residents.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in providing respectful and compassionate personal care, assisting residents with activities of daily living, supporting medication management, observing changes in residents’ conditions, and promoting their comfort. I love being able to build meaningful relationship with elderly. Every resident deserves to feel loved and wanted especially residents who have dementia.
Caregiving is more than a job to me, it genuinely makes me happy and it’s all I know. I will forever take care of the elderly I have true enjoyment doing this job. I have the heart and personality for this career.
