Bluebird is a nationwide integrator. We design, install and service physical security, network and low-voltage technology for multi-site clients across the country.
We need independent technicians across the country for single-day BreakFix service calls at commercial sites, across the low-voltage and IT trades. You take the calls that match what you know.
THE WORK
- Structured cabling: copper and fiber runs, pathways, terminations, labeling, testing and certification
- Networking and IT: racks, switches, routers, firewalls, access points and Wi-Fi
- Physical security: access control, cameras and recorders, intrusion alarms, intercoms
- Audio-visual: displays, conference rooms, paging and sound
- Point of sale and digital signage: terminals, printers, screens and media players
- Smart building: sensors, controls and connected devices
- Fleet telematics: GPS units and vehicle cameras
- Fire alarm and gas detection, where you hold the license the work requires
HOW IT WORKS
- Calls come to your phone, and you take the ones you want. Most are one visit, done in a day.
- Pay is $53 to $140 an hour, with a 2-hour minimum for every visit. The rate depends on how urgent the call is and whether you arrive by the on-site deadline.
- You check in on site and send photos and notes from your phone.
- Sites are open for business, so you work carefully around staff and visitors.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Hands-on experience servicing commercial equipment in at least one of the areas above
- Your own tools, a reliable vehicle and a smartphone
