Artesano Cafe is seeking an Experienced Cook to join our dynamic team! Located just below the iconic Manayunk Bridge, Artesano Café is a unique café located in Manayunk. We are a fast-paced, efficient environment that prioritizes cooking quality food. We are always changing and growing, and we are looking for an organization-driven individual who is passionate about preparing and serving high-quality food items.
Employment Information
• Employment type: Part-time/Full-time
• Pay: $19 - $22 per hour
• Expected hours: 30–40 hours per week
• Shifts: Current shift is Tuesday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
• Cafe will be open on Mondays in the near future so the days may include Monday moving forward.

What You'll Do
• Food preparation: Handle food preparation and prepare menu items to order
• Quality Control: Prepare food maintaining kitchen quality and controls
• Food Safety: Ensure food is stored properly and follow safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes
• Teamwork: Work alongside a small kitchen team
Must-Haves (Requirements)
• At least one year of prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Willingness to learn and follow company standards and procedures
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools
• Customer service experience is required
• Ability to safely operate and clean a slicer and properly portion meats and cheeses
• Willingness to clean and organize with downtime
Nice-to-haves:
• Food handlers’ certification (Nice-to-have)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation
