Laser X is a leading line of home laser tag systems created by NSI International. Despite its name, the system does not use real lasers; instead, it utilizes a completely safe, invisible infrared beam. A standout feature of Laser X is universal backward compatibility, meaning all generations and models of Laser X gear work seamlessly together, allowing an unlimited number of players to join the same game.
Core Gameplay Mechanics
The system features intuitive mechanics designed for fast-paced, arena-style play right in your backyard:
• Hit Indicators & Health: Players generally get 8 hits before being eliminated. The health status is tracked via an indicator light on either the blaster or receiver vest, changing sequentially from green to yellow, and finally red when you are out.
• Health Recovery: If a player manages to avoid getting hit for one consecutive minute, they automatically regain one life point.
• Advanced Physics: The infrared beams are highly dynamic, capable of penetrating windows and bouncing off walls or mirrors to strategically tag opponents.
• Team Customization: Blasters include dials or switches allowing players to choose team colors (like Red vs. Blue) or select a rogue "neutral" mode.
