The "Professional" looks similar to the "Europiccola" but it has a 38-ounce boiler, double the size of the Europiccola's boiler. A larger boiler is needed when pulling multiple double-shots and when making milk-based espressos. "Lusso" means "luxury", and refers to the upgraded wood and stainless steel components.
The machine was manufactured in Italy in 2004 and was recently cleaned and lubricated; the group head and piston gaskets are new. It has been our weekend espresso machine for about a year and it pulls great shots! We love La Pavoni lever machines and have upgraded to a 38-ounce Stradivari Lusso.
The sale includes the following: a La Pavoni "Professional Lusso" lever machine with pressure gauge and brass piston (the OEM piston was plastic), removable digital group head thermometer, 5 wooden handles and knobs, two 51mm portafilters (a twin-spout and a bottom-less), three 51mm portafilter baskets (two double-shot and a single-shot), a 51mm metal tamper, two 51mm coffee funnels, a 51mm puck screen, an automatic milk frothing accessory and user manual. The original factory box is included but the styrofoam box insert has been lost.
