I'll take this ad down as soon as it's sold, so if the ad is up, the truck is still available.
Please make an offer; if I don't get back to you, it's because I have better offers :)
Note: I can scrap the Comanche and get $12k towards the purchase of an EV via CC4A, but I am very hesitant to crush this fine piece of automotive history. If I find a suitable EV before I find someone who will take care of this truck, that mat unfortunately be the way I need to go.
4.0L 6 cyl. 4x4 4wd 4 wheel drive 5 speed manual transmission, 4wd H/L+2wd transfer case with auto locking front axle (not manual like older Toyotas etc)
160,000mi
Excellent gas/fuel mileage; ~19mpg mixed driving.
Runs great; needs nothing. However windshield has a crack that I've been driving with for years now. Up to the new owner if replacement is deemed necessary. Also the 2nd gear synchro has been slightly bad ever since I bought the truck in 1996, so I usually shift from first to third in normal driving with no issues. 2nd gear is readily available by double clutching, so I've never had a need to fix this. And the steering column bolts are starting to come loose (fix is https://comancheclub.com/topic/37167-loose-steering-wheel-fix/)
black outside/ tan inside
Recent: head gasket / valve job / water pump / head bolts / distributor cap / ignition rotor / spark plugs / belts / air filter / radiator / recovery tank / coolant / tires / wheel bearings / exhaust muffler / 4x4 vacuum lines / wipers
Extras: Camper shell, 6ft bed, Rockford Fosgate RFX-8130 CD player with remote and aux input for iPhone or MP3
Does NOT have ac air conditioning
I'm 2nd owner since 1996. This is by far my most reliable and least costly car ever owned by me.
Have all paperwork showing how little I spent over the past 30 years to run this truck. All maintenance always done (oil, transmission, transfer case fluids, radiator flush, etc).
Very clean emissions and easily passes smog checks. Very inexpensive to insure, register and drive daily. Currently smogged/registered until 2027.
Selling since I have three other cars and don't need this anymore.
Great value compared to older Toyota Tacoma SR5 Hilux, Chevrolet Silverado, Nissan Frontier, Dodge Dakota, Ford Ranger, and other pickup 4wd trucks
