Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Flooring Installer to install glue-down luxury vinyl plank (LVP) / vinyl tile flooring for a [residential / commercial / bathroom / kitchen] project. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with pressure-sensitive adhesives, prepping subfloors, and delivering clean, precise cuts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Subfloor Preparation: Prep, clean, scrape old adhesive, and smooth out the subfloor (sanding joints or applying skim coat/feather-edge patch if necessary).
• Layout Planning: Establish straight reference guidelines and plan the layout to ensure a balanced, professional look across the space.
• Adhesive Application: Evenly spread floor adhesive using the correct notched trowel or paint roller according to manufacturer specifications.
• Flooring Installation: Lay vinyl planks securely, staggering seams naturally while working out of multiple boxes to minimize pattern repetition.
• Adhesion & Finishing: Roll the completed floor with a weighted floor roller to guarantee a tight, permanent bond. Clean up any excess glue and install matching transition moldings or trim.
Requirements:
• Proven experience installing glue-down vinyl flooring (not just click-lock/floating floors).
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and precision with edge/corner cuts.
• Ability to work independently and clean up the workspace daily.
