Hoffman Manufacturing Corp has wood and metal divisions. Our metal division cuts sheet metal and tube, welds, grinds, and powder coats. Our welders work on a variety of materials and equipment to weld components into final products.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
• Operates MIG, TIG, and Laser Welders on Aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.
• Read drawings and ensure that finished parts match drawings and specifications
• Occasionally must determine the best method to weld parts when the specifications are not developed fully.
• Make changes and adjustments to improve the process and finished parts
• Communicate with coworkers and supervision about task status and process needs
Job Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years of welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and documents to determine the best method to weld a part
• Demonstrated attention to detail and quality.
• Problem solving and prioritization skills
• A work history demonstrating the ability and success to work independently.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
• Reliable and consistent
• Friendly and positive interaction with others
• General computer skills
Job Compensation
Hourly, starting at $26 to $32 per hour based on experience. Average hours per week is 40-45 hours. 8 Holidays are paid. Paid time off hours build per paycheck to 80 hours per year. IRA is matched to 3%. Health insurance is covered 75% for single coverage and 50% family.
