Skilled Manual / CNC Machinist — Prototype Machine Shop (Lynn, MA)
Essex Engineering is a busy prototype machine shop serving the aircraft engine industry. We're looking for a skilled manual machinist — full-time and/or part-time.
What you'll do
• Set up and run manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders to produce precision prototype parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain machine tools
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to verify they meet spec
• Follow shop safety procedures and work instructions
What you bring
• Proven experience as a manual machinist (prototype or job-shop preferred)
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Solid math and measurement fundamentals
• A keen eye for detail and steady hands
