In home PCA for 34 yo man living in home with parents. He is easy going and happy. Care needs include all personal care. He uses a wheelchair and is non-verbal, but alert and communicative. He has a gtube and supplemental oxygen. PCA must be able to handle transfers with help of hoyer lift, must be able to push wheelchair for walks around town. Limited lifting but a lot of positioning and adjustment. Duties include laundry and general room maintenance as well as his physical care.
This is a MassHealth paid job managed through Tempus. Pay starts at $19.50/hour, depending on experience, and the job qualifies for complex care pay of $3/hour above regular pay. We are looking for full time, but part-time will also be considered, primarily daytime hours.
