I have 2 of these. I hand made these using 1-1/2" butcherblock for the 2 horizontal pieces and 3/4" 9 ply birch plywood capped on the face with 1-1/2" to create the illusion of all 1-1/2". The middle shelf is 2" shorter for wires. I supplied a graft of the units. i can cut them to a lower height if needed. These are solid and can handle a ton of weight so these will not fall apart.
