I'm a singer who moved to Denver last year that has sung jazz for the past ten years but now would like to join or help jump start a classic rock/funk band that really energizes the audience with a driving beat! I'm talking about 2-3 guitars, one, possibly two keyboards, funky bass and drums! Oh yes - at least one other singer(female?) who likes to harmonize and/or sing lead sometimes.
A band/vocal group that does lots of old school with the new - Kool and the Gang, Sly and The Family Stone, The Commodores, The Ohio Players, The Gap Band, Earth Wind and Fire, The Isley Brothers, Cameo, AWB, Motown... and mix in some Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Hendrix, the doors, Eric Clapton, Toto, Grand Funk Railroad, The Stones, Vanilla Fudge, and maybe some Lenny Kravitz and Train to keep the fire burning!
Interested in what I'm talking about? Let's put together a tight sound and have some fun! Serious inquiries only please..
