Selling a Queen-size solid wood platform bed featuring traditional Japanese interlocking joinery. This was bought from a Japanese furnishing store (Murasaki) in Cupertino before they closed down a few years ago. The corners slot together without any tools or hardware, except for 3 screws that use an allen wrench/hex key.
I used it with tatami mats and then a mattress, but a mattress will also work directly on the slats.
CONDITION - GOOD OVERALL:
* Structurally solid with all original slats and center support beam.
* There is some minor cosmetic wear: a scrape on the outer edge of one corner joint and a small scuff on the top of a side rail (see close-up photos).
* The center support leg needs a new dowel to be 100%, but it will not shift if you place it carefully. (see detail in pictures)
PICK-UP (CUPERTINO):
Currently disassembled and ready to go. Because it breaks down into straight planks, it is incredibly easy to move. The longest pieces are roughly 82 inches long, so this will easily fit into a standard SUV with the seats down, a hatchback, or even a sedan if the front passenger seat folds flat.
