Looking for a hands-on software development apprentice to help build and scale a custom operational management platform. This is a ground-floor, equity-based opportunity—no cash compensation initially, making it ideal for a computer science student or a self-taught programmer looking for real-world production experience.
You will work directly alongside the lead developer on a real-world web application built using PHP, MySQL, and Drupal-based architecture. You'll gain practical experience configuring custom data structures, building workflows, and managing server environments.
(Note: Because you will have full visibility into proprietary system architecture and custom workflows, signing an NDA is required prior to starting.)
What You'll Learn & Do:
-Gain hands-on experience building custom modules, content types, and database relationships.
-Work with modern PHP frameworks, Linux server administration, and version control.
-Help troubleshoot, test, and optimize application features and user workflows.
-Participate in direct technical planning and product development.
-Perform occasional sales calls and/or service customer accounts.
What We Are Looking For:
-Current Computer Science student, recent grad, or dedicated self-taught programmer with a solid grasp of programming fundamentals (PHP, JavaScript, or Python).
-Familiarity with databases, command-line tools, and Git.
-A curious, detail-oriented builder who wants practical, portfolio-worthy engineering experience.
-Based in or near the Cincinnati area for local collaboration.
-Willingness to sign an NDA and commit on a sweat-equity basis.
-Familiarity with Mac and Linux CLI.
