FIELD NETWORK TECHNICIAN – SMART HANDS / BREAK-FIX
Location: Ohio Regional Openings -Cincinnati and surrounding areas including Louisville (Primary: Columbus / Polaris)
Rate: $80.00 Flat for the First 2 Hours, then $35.00/hr Afterward (1099 Contract)
Schedule: Project-Based / On-Call — Days, Nights & Weekends

POSITION
Field Smart Hands / Break-Fix Technician supporting enterprise environments. Remote engineers provide technical direction.
Work includes:
• Hardware swaps and removal
• Cable tracing and labeling
• Rack/stack
• Vendor escort / vendor meet
• Physical connectivity verification
• Site surveys and documentation
• Decommissioning
PAY & BLENDED STRUCTURE
• First 2 Hours: $80.00 flat (Guaranteed minimum payout per ticket)
• Hourly Rate Afterward: $35.00 per hour for each additional hour (prorated to the minute)
Note: Technicians who successfully pass the client-issued security vetting and background checks will receive priority access to corporate, retail, and restricted-site assignments.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years IT, enterprise, data center, or field service experience
• Able to follow detailed remote instructions
• Comfortable working in enterprise/data center environments
• Professional, reliable, and punctual
• NDA required prior to assignment
REQUIRED TOOLS
• Laptop
• Console cable
• Smartphone with data plan
• Drill/driver
• Cable tester
• Basic hand tools
• Preferred: Punch-down tool, crimp tool, label maker
COVERAGE & TRAVEL
• Primary Hub: Columbus / Polaris
• Regional Openings: We are actively onboarding local technicians directly within Cleveland, Cincinnati, Lima, and Youngstown.
• Travel Policy: Primary assignments are local to your home market, but travel to surrounding Ohio cities is available if you are open to driving. Approved mileage is fully reimbursed for any travel over 30 miles (one-way).
