Position Summary:
A manufacturing company in the Otay Mesa area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician B to join their team. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment.
The Maintenance Technician B will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting production equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production and processing equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules.
- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and identifying recurring mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety, food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to leadership.
- Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and improvements as needed.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician B or similar industrial maintenance role.
- Food manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently.
- Experience with industrial production, processing, or packaging equipment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must be available and flexible to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as business needs require.
Compensation & Opportunity
Starting pay: $31.00/hour, DOE
Long-term temporary position with opportunity for direct hire/conversion based on performance and business needs.
