Piano Lessons for Beginners through Advanced Intermediate Students
I teach beginner to advanced-intermediate piano lessons.
My focus is on technique, musicianship, repertoire, applied theory, and ensemble
playing skills.
For self-accompanying singers, I can also integrate voice instruction into the lesson
curriculum.
I have taught for 20 years, with students ranging in age from 5 to 75 and with intensity
ranging from novice to hobbyist to professional. I’m patient, thoughtful, and move at
the student’s pace - focusing on mastery rather than timetable.
I am also a working musician. I lead five different bands (each in a different style),
which you can hear at http://ethansellers.com/bands.html. My recordings have won
numerous grant awards, garnered critical praise, and received airplay on hundreds
of radio stations throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Lessons are at my studio in the Bryn Mawr East area of South Shore
(southeast of Hyde Park) or over Zoom.
I teach Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm. (I gig on the weekends.).
