I’m semi-retired and looking for a young, energetic couple who may be interested in a different kind of living arrangement.
I’m offering a rent-free place to live in exchange for helping me revitalize, organize, repair, and improve my home and property.
You would have a private furnished 12’ × 20’ room that can serve as your bedroom and personal living/work space.
Rather than paying monthly rent, we would work out an agreed-upon arrangement where you help with projects around the property. Each week, we would identify specific tasks and milestones to work toward. Projects could include cleaning, organizing, painting, repairs, landscaping, moving things, and helping bring neglected areas of the property back to life.
From time to time, there may also be opportunities to make a little extra money helping me sell off things I no longer need.
You get:

The exact responsibilities, expectations, hours, privacy, and living arrangements would all be discussed and agreed upon before anyone moves in, so everyone knows exactly what they are signing up for.
