NIDA CIRCLE Study: Investigating Communication Skills and User Interaction in Online Conversations
Dr. Brenda Curtis, a scientist with NIDA, is leading an online research study to test online conversations developed by the research team. The study is conducted completely online and aims to help the researchers understand how people interact with different styles of online conversation. This research will be used in future development of chatbots aimed at helping individuals with substance use disorder.
This study involves taking a short survey answering questions about yourself before beginning an online conversation developed by the research team. Then you will chat for 10-15 minutes and afterward answer a short survey about your experience. The study will take about 30-40 minutes.
Participants must be 18 years or older, reside in the U.S., and be able to read and write in English.
