Renewing free posts
Free classified posts on craigslist can be renewed. Renewing a post will move that post to the top of the list.
You can renew an active free post as long as 48 hours have elapsed since it was initially posted, or if 48 hours have elapsed since it was last renewed.
Please note that renewing a post will not extend its lifespan, and once a post is 30 days old you will lose the ability to renew it.
Renewing through a craigslist account
If you submitted your post through a craigslist account, login to your account and click the renew link on your account homepage:
Renewing without a craigslist account
If you did not use a craigslist account to submit your post, you can renew it using the manage link in your confirmation email.
- Locate the POST/EDIT/DELETE email you received when you first submitted your post, and click on the manage link.
- On the management page, select the "Renew this Posting" option:
Reposting expired free posts
Free posts that expired or were deleted can be reposted.
Reposting creates a new copy of the post that will move to the top of the list.
- To repost a deleted or expired free ad, follow the steps above but choose "Repost" instead of "Renew."
- You can make changes to the post before submitting it.
