Meishan pigs are an old Chinese heritage breed, prized for deeply colored red meat with intense, fine micro-marbling and superior clean-burning lard quality.
We have raised them here on our farm on locally sourced food that we ferment, to promote better nutrient bioavailability, as well as leftover milk and whey from our dairy cow, apples from our apple trees and garden scraps.
