**PART-TIME BOOKKEEPING ASSISTANT – QUICKBOOKS & AI EXPERIENCE**
We are looking for a part-time bookkeeping assistant to help us **finish our current bookkeeping and transition our company from QuickBooks into a new, customized bookkeeping system that we are developing specifically for our business.**
We have used QuickBooks for many years, but we are moving away from it. The new system is being designed around the way our company actually operates rather than relying on a generic accounting program.
We need someone who has **QuickBooks experience, understands basic accounting, is comfortable with Excel, and has experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT.**
The initial work will involve helping us review and organize our existing QuickBooks bookkeeping, reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, and make sure our financial information is accurate as we transition to the new system.
**You will help with:**
• Getting existing bookkeeping caught up and organized
• Reconciling bank and credit-card accounts
• Reviewing transactions for accuracy
• Identifying incorrect or missing entries
• Maintaining customer and vendor information
• Working with our existing QuickBooks data during the transition
• Helping transfer appropriate information into the new bookkeeping system
• Working with Excel and AI tools
• Helping establish procedures for maintaining the new system
• Producing accurate monthly financial information, including P&L and Balance Sheet reports
**What we're looking for:**
• QuickBooks Desktop experience
• Actual bookkeeping experience—not just data entry
• Understanding of bank reconciliations, credit cards, P&L and Balance Sheets
• Good Excel skills
• **Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools**
• Comfortable learning and working with a new customized system
• Detail-oriented and able to recognize when something doesn't look right
• Able to work independently
We have **two separate companies**, so accuracy and keeping the financial records completely separate are extremely important.
This is a **part-time position**, with additional hours possible while we complete the transition.
We are looking for someone who is interested in being part of **building a better bookkeeping system**, not simply spending the next several years entering transactions into QuickBooks.
