Is everybody up to speed on the answer to "Who pays the tariffs?"
We the final purchaser does. If your local store imports something from out of the country and pays a tariff what do you think they will do? eat the cost? No, they figure out how much more per widget they are paying and likely will raise the price of the widget by that amount and possibly a little more to compensate themselves. They are entrepreneurs and they are in the business of making money. Yes for a little while maybe they may eat a tariff but eventually we the consumer will pay it and then some.
Just keep that in mind when you go to vote: Part of your inflation expense is Trump's and his republican enablers failed policies.
Trump is back to extorting our Canadian allies, friends and family. With Trump, the constant tariff/no tariff, tariff/no tariff see saw will never end until we end it at the voting booth. Start clipping the wings of the beast, get out and vote. VOTE OUT ALL REPUBLICANS.
