The Arctic Claw Winter WXI is a dedicated severe-weather winter tire engineered specifically for traction, handling and braking in snow, ice, slush and freezing conditions. The WXI uses an asymmetrical winter tread pattern, a high-density network of sipes and multiple biting edges to help maintain grip on slippery roads. It is also molded to accept optional metal studs for additional ice traction. s
Manufacturer-designed features of the Winter WXI include wide Multi-Cross main grooves that add biting edges on snow and ice, saw-tooth block edges for additional snow traction, reinforced tread blocks for stability, and extensive siping designed to improve winter grip and handling. The groove design also helps move water, snow and slush away from the contact patch to improve wet-winter traction.
