We are a small manufacturing company located in Baldwin Park, California, looking for a reliable, responsible, detail-oriented person for steady warehouse production work approximately 4-5 days per week.
The position involves cutting glass and mirrors to precise measurements and building custom wooden shipping boxes for finished products.
Previous professional glass-cutting experience is helpful, but it is not required for the right person. Training can be provided.
More important to us is finding someone who is dependable, careful, mechanically capable, able to work accurately with measurements, and responsible enough to eventually work independently.
PAY
$18–$23 per hour, depending on experience, accuracy, reliability, and ability to perform the work independently.
Candidates with previous experience in glass cutting, woodworking, construction, fabrication, manufacturing, warehouse production, or similar hands-on work may qualify for the higher end of the pay range.
SCHEDULE
Approximately 4-5 days per week.
We are looking for someone interested in a steady, long-term position, not someone looking for only a few days or temporary work.
Exact working days and hours will be discussed during the interview.
JOB DUTIES
• Measure and cut glass and mirror according to daily production drawings and instructions
• Read measurements, diagrams, cutting sheets, and simple blueprints accurately
• Work accurately with fractional-inch measurements
• Double-check measurements before cutting to avoid mistakes and wasted material
• Inspect completed pieces for accuracy and quality
• Prepare finished mirror products for shipping
• Measure and cut wood and packaging materials
• Build custom wooden shipping boxes/crates
• Use a staple gun and other basic warehouse/shop tools
• Carefully package glass products for safe transportation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow the daily production list and complete orders accurately and efficiently
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The right person should be:
• Reliable and punctual
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with his/her hands
• Comfortable using basic tools
• Comfortable safely handling glass and mirrors
• Able to read a tape measure accurately
• Able to understand fractional-inch measurements
• Able to follow written instructions, drawings, and simple blueprints
• Able to work without constant supervision
• Organized and careful with materials
• Able to safely move glass, wood, boxes, and packaging materials as required
• Interested in stable, consistent work
After training and once trust has been established, the employee will frequently be working independently in the warehouse and may be provided with facility access.
Because of this, honesty, responsibility, reliability, and consistent attendance are extremely important for this position.
