We are the 4th owner. The original owner stored it in a barn and rarely used it. The second owner built a shelter for it and used it as a guest bedroom. The 3rd owner was the first to use the oven. They stored it under cover. They had the trailer soda blasted and repainted professionally in the correct colors and added two propane tanks and leveling jacks.
We had the dining seats redone professionally. They left most of the original horsehair padding and added some new. There is a brand new foam mattress with pad and sheets for the bed. The bed is a little smaller than a double, so the mattress and sheets were special ordered. The previous owners made curtains for it. Almost everything else is original, including the icebox, linoleum flooring (rare to find the original), countertops, stove (works), woodwork, canvas cot bunk, gas light and windows. It has a matching awning. The previous owner said there was some leakage around the icebox and windows, so they redid the seals on the windows. There are some water stains on the wood on the inside under the windows, but we felt it didn't distract from this beautiful trailer. The table and counter has some damage (peeling) from age, so we put 3 coats of polyurethene on them, since we wanted to keep it as original as possible.
There is no bathroom, but we have a portable potty in the closet.
We've had the trailer for 2 years and love it. It has been stored in a locker the whole time we have owned it, so it hasn't had any water on it since we bought it. The previous owner said the bearings were serviced and new tires from Les Schwab were put on it right before we purchased it.
We love the trailer, but we haven't used it as much as we expected and have to pay for storage. We hope someone can love it and enjoy it as much as we have.
