1940 Ford 2dr 86 year old fun car to drive and show off. Stock 85 hp flathead engine that came in these cars. Fenton headers, Smitty mufflers, dual exhaust that sounds wonderful. Three speed transmission with shift on the column. 1940 Ford hydraulic brakes. Stock wheels and tire size. Original shiny paint on the dash. Original gauges plus some.additional ones. They all work except the original temp which is not hooked up. Running a couple of newer temp gauges, one for each head. Door panels and headliner have been replaced. The seats have the original covers on them. Front floor and trunk have new rubber covers and the back floor is original carpet. The paint color is called Cloud Mist Grey by Ford Motor Company. I call it green, what do you think? The car was repainted about 35 years ago in the original color. This is not a show car, it is a driver, but you can certainly show it off. People like it and I do really like it but need the room!
The designers of this car got the proportions just right, not a bad picture from any angle!
